Mike Taylor is a Product Operations leader and Army Special Operations veteran, known for scaling product and engineering organizations through disciplined operating models, delivery excellence, and cross-functional alignment. He currently serves as Head of Product Operations at Writer, where he leads operational strategy and execution to support enterprise AI product development and go-to-market readiness. Prior to this role, Mike led Product and Engineering Operations at Benchling, partnering with executive leadership to scale systems and processes across large, distributed teams. His work included redesigning planning and delivery frameworks, accelerating agile adoption, and improving release reliability and organizational throughput. He also served as Head of Operations at Deterrence, supporting AI-driven robotics initiatives in the national defense space. Mike brings a mission-driven leadership style shaped by his military background, combined with deep expertise in product operations, release management, and organizational design. He is recognized for building KPI-driven prioritization models, launch and enablement frameworks, and scalable operating rhythms that help product organizations deliver consistent, measurable impact. He holds a degree from Drexel University.
